Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Services Coordinator to join our team at Metropolitan Hospital. This role will provide exceptional support to our healthcare professionals by maintaining a well-organized environment and ensuring seamless communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities:- Act as a receptionist, greeting patients, visitors, and authorized personnel, and directing them to the appropriate areas.
- Answer telephones, including patient call bells, and take messages, locating doctors and nurses via telephone, and contacting relatives and patients as directed.
- Prepare requisitions for repairs, supplies, and maintenance, and take periodic inventory of stationery supplies as directed.
- Assemble charts for each patient upon admission, inserting new pages and debriefing charts as needed, attaching reports to charts immediately upon receipt from X-ray Department or Laboratory.
- Ensure that medical record contents are addressograph at all times, completing demographic information on required forms.
- Compile ward statistics at the beginning of each tour, counting patients for census, and entering admission, transfer, or discharge data in Unit Activity Log.
- Make arrangements with ambulance service for transport as directed, posting notices on bulletin boards, picking up doctor's orders, and preparing labels and tags.
- A high school diploma or its equivalent, and six months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
