Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, the Radiology Technician performs Radiographic examinations as ordered by the patient's attending physician. The technician assesses patients, assists the Radiologist in performing fluoroscopic procedures, prepares films for interpretation, maintains patients and departmental records, supplies and equipment. The technician performs other related duties.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program

- ARRT registered in good standing

- Current State of Florida License

- Current BLS Certification

Skills and Abilities

- Excellent Customer Service Skills

- Good working knowledge of anatomy, principles of physics, electricity, and methods of exposure to obtain clearly defined radiographs

- Ability to set up and operate all types of equipment in a modern Radiology Department

- Knowledge of psychology, patient care, and sterile techniques to deal with all types of patient conditions
