About the Role

">

We are seeking an experienced academic professor to teach chemistry courses at Tacoma Community College. This is a part-time faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis.

Key Responsibilities

">

  • Teach introductory chemistry courses, including organic and inorganic chemistry, in a classroom environment.

  • Succinctly convey complex concepts to students with no prior chemistry background.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement engaging course materials.

  • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

">

  • Masters degree in Chemistry or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

  • Experience teaching at a community college and/or the freshman and sophomore levels.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $1,208.89 to $1,422.22 per credit hour, with a potential for additional compensation based on experience and qualifications.
