Inpatient Psychiatrist

Tufts Medicine is seeking a full-time Adult Psychiatrist to provide inpatient services at Tewksbury Hospital in Massachusetts. The hospital offers long-term, inpatient psychiatric care primarily for individuals involved in the legal system. Our team treats patients' mental illnesses while they undergo court-ordered evaluations. We work closely with forensic evaluators to determine the best pathway for patients to work through their cases while receiving appropriate psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform health assessments and run diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medication and create treatment plans
• Provide health and wellness education to patients

Requirements:

• MD or equivalent, eligible to obtain a medical license in Massachusetts
• BC/BE in Psychiatry
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clinicians, administrators, and department staff
