Job Summary:

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Administrator to join our team. As a Senior Network Administrator, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and securing Information Technology systems and directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a program in a classified environment as a Network Administrator.
  • Build, maintain, and secure Information Technology systems.
  • Directly support customer mission-critical capabilities.
  • Work closely with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions to system problems.
  • Support occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations.
  • Occasional travel may be required for installation support.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • TS/SCI with poly security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date.
  • Experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco enterprise network equipment.
  • Working understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite and experience with LAN routing and switching.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco CCNA certification.
  • Experience with cloud computing/networking (AWS Networking).
  • Experience with Cisco IOS QOS, congestion avoidance, and management.
  • Experience with WAN technologies (Metro Ethernet, POS, DS-3, T-1, MPLS, BGP).
  • Experience with traffic isolation and network virtualization technologies (ACL, VRF, DMVPN).
