Role Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at Scout Space, a rapidly-growing organization pushing the boundaries of space technology. This role is perfect for a talented engineer who wants to contribute to cutting-edge projects and develop their skills in electrical engineering.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing prototype systems for lab test equipment, contributing to electrical design and thermal analysis, and understanding and developing electrical requirements and constraints for spacecraft sensor subsystems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop prototype systems for lab test equipment, focusing on intuitive controls and modular components that can be easily upgraded or replaced as needs change.
  • Contribute to electrical design and thermal analysis, considering factors such as power and ground planes, signal integrity management, thermal management, and design rule checks.
  • Understand and develop electrical requirements and constraints for spacecraft sensor subsystems, including thermal resistance ratings and thermal impedance.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Rising Seniors or Graduate students only.
  • Familiarity with Python programming language.
  • Highly preferred: Demonstrated collaborative experience in a business or project environment.
