As a Transportation Safety Specialist at BrandSafway, you will be responsible for maintaining driver information and files, submitting and reviewing driver history, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in Guthrie, OK (or remote locations in Gonzalez, LA and Houston, TX). The successful candidate will have a strong background in transportation safety, logistics, and compliance management. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of driver information and files, including Type 3 driver packets, MVR histories, and DOT background checks.
  • Submit and review driver history reports, approving all new drivers while ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Manage our True Screen platform for all Matcor DOT drivers, monitoring and reviewing their activities to ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Monitor, review, and maintain all Matcor driver logs in our Geotab system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review Samsara driver alerts and coach employees when necessary to improve performance and safety.
  • Audit projects and equipment regularly to ensure Matcor vehicles comply with DOT regulations.
  • Run annual motor vehicle reports for all drivers company-wide, initiating clearing house queries as required by law.
  • Approve administrative processing of paperwork related to equipment disposal, such as title, registration, and license transfer.
  • Review equipment maintenance invoices to ensure proper maintenance was performed, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee DPS fleet management operations, including procurement, maintenance, repair, and disposal of vehicles and equipment, prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Compliance management experience, with a strong understanding of state and federal environmental laws concerning vehicle operation.
  • Familiarity with fleet service procedures and federal/state laws governing fleet operations, including emissions standards and hazardous materials handling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check to obtain a TWIC card.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $59,256 - $81,908 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a generous 401(k) plan.
