We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join the Global On-Platform Marketing team at Spotify.

Company Overview

The Global On-Platform Marketing team is part of Spotify's Global Marketing & Partnerships organization, responsible for communicating with and delighting our 625M+ users around the globe.

Salary

The base salary for this position in the United States is between $86,691.00 and $123,844.00, plus equity.

About the Role

You will work within marketing to evaluate our owned-channel campaign impact, providing key insights that shape future direction and channel strategy. You will collaborate with a distributed team of world-class analysts, data scientists, business leaders, marketers, and engineers.

Key responsibilities include delivering thoughtful analysis and insights around on-platform marketing campaigns, presenting findings to marketing & xfn partners, designing and implementing comprehensive tests, and creating and communicating impactful recommendations.

You will also work closely with our Marketing & Consumer Insights team to connect off-platform data & insights with our 1st party campaign data, support audience targeting, and maintain existing data pipelines used to measure campaign performance.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional experience synthesizing insights from data using tools such as Python/R, SQL. Experience with distributed systems (primarily BigQuery) is a plus.
  • You are curious and not afraid of exploring new domains; you enjoy partnering with others to define and develop new opportunities.
  • You are a natural communicator; you focus just as much on how you deliver your findings, as you do on the technical craft of uncovering new insights.
  • Experience building data visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau or similar BI solution) a plus.
  • Have a background in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Comfortable working on a globally distributed team.
  • Relevant experience in a consumer tech/product company is a plus.
