Loan Officer Job Description

About the Role

The Loan Officer at Lennar Mortgage is a key position responsible for developing relationships with new business sources, both internally and externally. This role involves meeting with prospective customers, brokers, and other referral sources to collect and analyze customer financial information, advise on mortgage products, and help select the appropriate loan program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Company's growth through outside sales activities and lead generation
  • Travel to various communities, realtors' offices, and other locations to solicit new business and leads
  • Conduct First Time Homebuyer Seminars to develop leads and build relationships
  • Travel to builder and realtor functions, status meetings, and other events to develop and maintain relationships
  • Meet with prospective customers to explain the Company's offerings, obtain loan applications, and attend closings
  • Review leads daily and contact prospective customers via telephone and email to set up meetings
  • Originate and prepare new loans in accordance with the Loan Officer agreement
  • Advise customers on mortgage loan products based on individual needs
  • Review interest rates and lock loans in accordance with company policies
  • Provide assistance to New Home Consultants on pre-qualifications and loan status
  • Meet or exceed closed loan capture rate and sales goals
  • Maintain reports and notes within the origination computer system

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree (preferred)
  • At least three years of Loan Originating experience
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend work
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • NMLS License required in Texas
