We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Healthcare Professional - Paramedic to join our team at DispatchHealth. As a critical member of our in-home care delivery system, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring the well-being and safety of our patients in their homes.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team that is redefining healthcare delivery through mobile and virtual care solutions. Our skilled providers arrive onsite with the expertise and tools necessary to administer advanced medical care, supported by our technological infrastructure to ensure quality and improve outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency medical services (EMS), with experience working as a paramedic. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to work independently, with autonomy, and as part of a team to deliver care with flexibility and open-mindedness. Strong critical thinking skills and a commitment to lifelong learning are essential in this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-home patient care, including physical exams, point-of-care testing, treatments, and data gathering
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work collaboratively with our virtual healthcare provider to deliver high-quality patient care, while also adhering to strict infection prevention strategies
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment plans
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and restock supplies as needed
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure successful completion of visits and maintain high standards of patient care
Requirements:
  • EMT-P certification in good standing
  • Minimum one year of patient-facing experience in EMS or related field
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association certification
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills
  • Previous experience with comprehensive history gathering and documentation within EMR
  • Previous experience with basic procedural skills
  • Cultural competency - ability to interact with diverse patient populations and develop rapport and trust
Benefits:
