About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hospital Admissions Coordinator to join our team at Aspirus Eagle River Hospital in Eagle River, WI.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all front-end functions related to patient admission, including pre-registration, insurance verification, benefit eligibility, and patient registration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-register patients and verify insurance coverage
  • Process benefit eligibility and patient registration
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our system
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a business office or healthcare setting
  • Completion of a medical terminology course (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and anatomy and physiology
  • Proficiency in computer skills, chart heading machines, and other information system equipment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
