Medical Assistant Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Medical Assistant to join our team at Charter Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough medical record reviews, retrieving medical records, and abstracting data using proprietary tools and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve medical records via EMR or fax request, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and member confidentiality requirements.
- Conduct medical record abstraction and research during the medical record review project.
- Use various software applications to support HEDIS operations by entering data and/or changing chase status for the identified chase(s).
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA and member confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Associates Degree in Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing.
- 2 years of medical assistant or nurse experience with clinical experience and good understanding of medical terminology.
