Overview

Agility Robotics is a pioneer in robotics, developing robots that work alongside people. We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Architect Lead to design and develop the next generation of our robot, Digit.

About the Role

This position will involve driving the robot architecture, designing and developing robust and reliable electronics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of electrical design experience, including 2+ years of robotics experience, and a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an electrical engineering architect and lead major subsystem design.
  • Own architecture, design, implementation, testing, and commercialization for relevant hardware subsystems.
  • Drive engineering specifications from product requirements and work cross-functionally to align engineering specifications with multiple domains.
  • Rapid prototyping of electrical systems at both system and board levels.
  • Perform board bring-up activities including embedded firmware development and circuit validation.
  • Interface with internal and external manufacturing teams to enhance design for test, manufacturing, and assembly.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of electrical design experience with 2 or more years of robotics experience.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in embedded controls, high-speed differential signaling, microcontrollers, memory buses, digital design, and power electronics.
  • Excellent track record of designing PCBAs with excellent manufacturing test capabilities.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and team development.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
