About the Role

Key Responsibilities

* Provide expert nursing care to patients in the step-down unit, emphasizing individualized attention and coordinated transitions* Monitor and assess vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status to identify potential issues and implement interventions* Collaborate with interprofessional teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans, ensuring continuity and quality* Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, self-care techniques, and medication management to promote autonomy and independence* Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes

Requirements

* Current RN license and BLS certification* At least two years of recent experience in the Step Down Unit, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to navigate complex clinical scenarios* Adaptability and flexibility, with a willingness to adjust to changing priorities and situations
