Job Summary

FLEX Inc is seeking a skilled Process Engineering Technician to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Process Engineering Technician, you will perform technical tests and experiments for process engineering, working closely with our Process Engineering Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate processing equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Monitor and audit line operators and maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct process test runs, preparing records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering.
  • Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel, ensuring smooth process execution.
  • Perform corrective maintenance and yield improvement activities, following escalation procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Quality, and other departments.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a related field, technical training, or equivalent education and training.
  • 2+ years of related experience supporting WAVE production equipment.
  • Experience in technical writing to support change control and quality/compliance activities.
  • Setup, operation, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Electro-Mechanical Knowledge, Electrical schematics, Mechanical drawing, and dimensional annotation comprehension.
  • Ability to understand and interface with various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to work with complex industrial mechanical assemblies in an automated environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network and serial communications in equipment.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (Solar, Aerospace, or Automotive), with compliance to FDA, NHTSA, FTC, ISO, or other regulatory requirements.
