Mechanical Design Coordinator

We're seeking a Mechanical Design Coordinator to join our team at HDR. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assisting in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
As a Mechanical Design Coordinator, you'll perform routine engineering assignments requiring the application of standard techniques and procedures. You'll also write and edit mechanical specifications, select mechanical systems and devices, and utilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis, and mechanical equipment selections.
Additionally, you'll prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings, including drawings, specifications, and reports. You'll work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate, proficiency in MS Office and Revit, and commercial/institutional experience in healthcare. Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is also a plus.
