Job Summary

This position is part of the IN 181st Intelligence Wing, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as the principal advisor to the Wing Commander and Director of Advanced Programs on the latest industry and technological projections as they pertain to SAP Cyber Security/Information Security for the network enclave infrastructure.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure acquisition, development, and retention of a professional, highly capable SAP cybersecurity workforce to accomplish assigned missions.
  • Establishes performance standards and evaluates employee performance. Reviews and recommends approval of candidates for promotions and recognition.
  • Act as the primary cybersecurity technical advisor to the Information System Owner (ISO) for DoD IS and IT systems under their purview.
  • Collaborates with other supervisors and managers within the Wing and command to negotiate, decide on, or coordinate work related changes affecting their operation.
Requirements
  • MILITARY GRADES: O3 through O5
  • COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 017D3A
  • BASIC REQUIREMENT: Undergraduate or Graduate Education in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
  • GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate difficult and complex programs; Ability to develop, apply, and adjust cyber program plans to attain agency objectives; Ability to select, develop, and supervise a subordinate staff; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, not only with subordinate staff, but with all levels of key management officials, the latter particularly requiring the exercise of tact, ingenuity, and resourcefulness; Ability to make oral and written presentations in a clear and concise manner; Ability to apply a high level of sound and independent judgment in the solution of cyber program problems and cyber mission requirements; A broad knowledge of and ability to utilize principles, methods, techniques, and systems; Ability to write proper English in reports and presentation formats; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; Skilled in training, mentoring, and problem solving; and, Skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material
  • SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization.
