Actuarial Analyst

Lilypad Insurance Managers Inc. is seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic Risk team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing both the rate review and loss reserving processes, ensuring we hit our target profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Derive and recommend changes to current pricing strategies and make ultimate loss ratio selections to keep us on track.
• Manage and analyze data for better transparency and trend identification.
• Assist in creating predictive models to guide our business decisions.
• Retrieve, comprehend, and manipulate data for various projects.
• Ensure data quality, validity, and completeness, and suggest improvements to reduce uncertainty.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of success in an actuarial role or internship at a personal lines insurance company.
• Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles, methodologies, and research techniques.
• Proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), Access, Python, and R.
• Ability to analyze data and review moderately complex analyses from others.
• Strong planning, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
