Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Glens Falls Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory technology and be able to conduct a variety of testing procedures on patient specimen samples.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing procedures on patient specimen samples according to physician orders.
- Analyze test results to determine the presence of normal and abnormal components.
- Utilize the laboratory information system to report all test results in accordance with New York State Department of Health requirements.
- Perform quality control testing to ensure accuracy of clinical data.
- Document and notify all critical test values and call test values to the appropriate floor/office and physician.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Technology or a closely related field.
- Two years of experience as Clinical or Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist or similar title.
- New York State License or Limited Permit/Provisional Permit as Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
