We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Corporal to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for supervising and performing security work, protecting life and property, and coordinating daily shift activities.

Job Description:

Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of routine complex security/safety/parking work functions, including supervising and performing security work. The successful candidate will report to the Security Supervisor/Leader and be responsible for the coordination of daily shift activities. This role requires strong management and communications capabilities, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and perform security work to protect life and property.
  • Coordinate daily shift activities and ensure the smooth operation of security services.
  • Develop and implement effective security protocols to prevent and respond to security incidents.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Collaborate with security personnel to ensure the safety and security of our facilities and patients.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Requires the job knowledge, skills, and abilities of an HFHS Security Officer/Security Police Officer or the equivalent in work experience.
  • Must have currently received a satisfactory or above performance review in all areas.
  • Completion of IAHSS Supervisory and Safety training programs within the first year required.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver's license that meets HFHSP minimum standards.
  • Requires certification under public act 330 within the first year of performing this role or at the first offered classes in the tri-county area.
Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
