Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Engraving Plating Technician to join our team at Interprint, Inc. in Pittsfield, MA. As an Engraving Plating Technician, you will be responsible for engraving cylinders, assisting with cylinder logistics, ripping files, and ensuring the operation of equipment. You will also maintain the cylinder engraving room and perform other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engrave cylinders to specifications using visual and microscopic evaluations.
  • Finish and chrome cylinders after engraving.
  • Polish and inspect cylinder surfaces.
  • Transfer engraving logs to quality cert folders.
  • Data entry of cell volume measurements for record keeping.
  • Documentation of daily engraving logs and data entry to excel files.
  • Assist with cylinder logistics, including programming automation and transporting cylinders.
  • Rip files from the Repro Department to the DLS system and verify data accuracy.
  • Conduct SAP transactions to close engraving orders and coordinate cylinder allocation.
  • Ensure the operation of equipment, including daily inspections and maintenance.
  • Maintain the cylinder engraving room, keeping it neat and organized.

Requirements:
  • Arrive on time for start of shift.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Basic understanding of SDS sheets.
  • Follow instructions and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate well with others.
  • Basic data entry skills preferred.
  • Comfort level with chemicals.
  • Ideal applicant would have strong mechanical aptitude.
