The Position:
The Quality Inspector will ensure our products meet requirements and conform to established specifications for reliability and workmanship. Responsibilities include:
- Using visual, mechanical, and electrical testing methods and tools to inspect, evaluate, and document incoming mechanical and electrical products, machined parts, and sub-assemblies
- Moving inspected material to the proper receiving location
- Working with Quality Control to maintain records of testing
- Ensuring up-to-date filing of QC-related paperwork, drawings, and part samples
- Providing timely feedback to quality if non-conforming product is identified
- Maintaining calibration of equipment and ensuring it is safe and well-maintained
- Functioning as part of the final Quality Control team inspecting final product for shipment
About You:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in mechanical quality inspection
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawing specifications, dimensioning, and tolerances
- High-level knowledge of measuring instruments, gauges, meters, or measuring devices of a specialized nature
- High-level mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to create inspection reports
- Ability to follow quality standards and processes, such as ISO 9001/2015
- Ability to work effectively with groups of people from different disciplines in a cooperative effort
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are required
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills
