Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Coordinator to provide exceptional customer service to patients in Arlington, VA.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the intake of patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, and coordinating efficient patient flow through the practice or hospital department assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide courteous and professional greetings to patients
  • Manage patient intake, screen for emergent conditions, and verify patient responsibility for payment
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures, inputting patient charges and verifying demographic and insurance information
  • Coordinate efficient patient flow through the practice or hospital department assigned
  • Support organization initiatives related to new technology, clinical programs, and improving the patient experience
Requirements:
  • 6 months - 1 year of providing high-quality customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Working knowledge of IDX/GE Centricity business software
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CPR Certification
