About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Civil Estimator/Project Manager to support public and private projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure goals of project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Analyze plans and specifications on various projects to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Estimation: Prepare and submit a quality estimate within the time provided.
  • Soliciting Bids: Solicit bids and negotiate contracts with subcontractors.
  • Change Order Pricing: Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders.
  • Project Coordination: Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, within prescribed budget, and provides advice to solve problems.
Requirements
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Five years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction relevant to this region.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and specialized project software.
