About the Role

The Pharmaceutical Support Coordinator is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a strong liaison between pharmaceutical manufacturers, providers, patients, and IVX Operations to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with pharmaceutical support services (HUBs) that participate in the IVX Health Provider Service Organization.
  • Identify and catalog referring providers' preferred method of communication.
  • Notify referring providers when patients have been successfully onboarded with IVX Health and ensure post-treatment communications are occurring back to the provider office for in-scope drugs/patients.
  • Work alongside the Program Manager to educate referring providers and pharmaceutical case managers on outstanding prior authorization, benefit, patient monitoring, and general continuum of care patient needs.
  • Perform welcome calls to patients, including advanced educational components around specific participating biologic therapies, the process, clinical counseling, and financial counseling (copay assistance).
  • Leverage clinical expertise to respond to and resolve clinical inquiries from referring providers and internal sales/operations colleagues.
  • Assist in coordinating intake and prior authorization tasks related to specific medications supported.
  • Eliminate barriers regarding insurance requirements and medical policy, medical records, drug label, and prior authorization requirements.
  • Clearly document all case-specific communication and activity in appropriate systems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
  • 3 years' experience working in hospital or clinical service access, physician office scheduling, or similar role.
