Anesthesia Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Luke. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage patient anesthesia experience, perform preoperative evaluations and preparations, administer monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, monitor and manage patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery, manage fluid therapy, perform and manage invasive monitoring, and perform post-operative evaluations as privileged by the MTF Credentials Committee.
- Perform a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient, including obtaining an informed consent from the patient, requesting consultations and/or diagnostic studies, and ordering pre-anesthetic medications.
- Develop and implement an anesthetic plan of care, including assessing the patient's physiologic homeostasis and correcting abnormal responses to the anesthesia and/or surgery.
- Collect and interpret patient physiological data by selecting, applying or inserting noninvasive monitoring modalities, managing the patient's airway and pulmonary status, and managing the patient's emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
- Record all pertinent events taking place during the introduction of, maintenance of and emergence from anesthesia, including the dosage and duration of all anesthetic agents, other drugs, intravenous fluids and blood or blood components on all patients that have received anesthesia care.
- Manage patient anesthesia experience, perform preoperative evaluations and preparations, administer monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, monitor and manage patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery, manage fluid therapy, perform and manage invasive monitoring, and perform post-operative evaluations as privileged by the credentials committee.
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Graduate from an academic program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetist Programs (COA).
- Certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
- Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and must be comfortable with reprioritizing on short notice and working on multiple simultaneous projects. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline-intensive environment is essential.
