Job Summary

Lanco is seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis and Simulation Expert to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing static and dynamic structural analyses and collaborating with the validation team to develop validation tests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on static and dynamic structural analysis for crane systems using beam, shell, and solid elements.
  • Perform strength, fatigue, and buckling analysis to ensure the durability and reliability of products.
  • Develop new simulation methods and tools to improve the analysis and performance evaluation of crane systems.
  • Collaborate with the validation team to design validation tests and compare results with analysis methods to enhance design.
  • Teach and train other engineers on new analysis methods and tools.
  • Conduct comprehensive system-level analysis using simulation software and engineering hand calculations.
  • Prepare and present analysis reports and new product design proposals to managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a directly related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in static and dynamic structural simulation and analysis.
  • Proficiency in using ANSYS or similar simulation software, as well as engineering hand calculations.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting detailed reports to management.
  • Advanced proficiency in static and dynamic structural analysis techniques using beam, shell, and solid elements.
  • In-depth knowledge of strength, fatigue, and buckling analysis.
  • Significant experience using ANSYS and other common FEA software such as NASTRAN, Autodesk Simulation, Hypermesh, Abaqus, and nCode.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in analyzing structures and systems of heavy-duty off-road machinery, including construction equipment, agricultural equipment, port equipment, material handling equipment, cranes, and forklifts.
