Pike Corporation seeks a detail-oriented GIS Technician I to join our team. As a key member of the GIS department, you will work closely with designers, engineers, and management to deliver high-quality projects.

About the Role

This is a challenging position that requires strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities. You will be responsible for preparing drawings using ArcMap/ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other electronic drawing packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed maps using ESRI's ArcMap/ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other integrated electronic drawing packages.
  • Assist in creating web-based mapping tools and dashboards to support clients and internal use.
  • Maintain graphical features in client GIS systems, including ArcFM, Intergraph FRAMME, and Small World.
  • Develop and maintain drawing standards for use in company-produced drawings.
  • Document and report preparations with Microsoft and other industry-specific programs.
  • Assist with implementing and managing field data collection tools and tasks.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of GIS programs, spatial concepts, and query operations. They should also be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-oriented with excellent customer service skills.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED.
  • 0-2 years of experience in GIS and/or CAD programs and working in the GIS utility industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write simple correspondence, and present information effectively.
