Job Description

This senior-level accounting position plays a crucial role in managing various financial tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management:
    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
    • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
    • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Account Reconciliation:
    • Perform bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
    • Reconcile intercompany accounts, and monitor outstanding items to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close:
    • Lead or support the month-end and year-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Prepare adjusting journal entries, ensure proper allocation of expenses and revenue, and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
    • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
    • Assist with preparation for external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor queries.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
