Food and Beverage Assistant Manager Job Summary
The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and profitability. Key responsibilities include directing service staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate food and beverage service operations to ensure profitability and quality standards.
- Circulate on the outlet floor to ensure guest satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Monitor and supervise the setup and maintenance of the dining room area.
- Control the flow of the room by seating guests in each section by rotation.
- Assign and supervise opening and closing side duties.
- Make entries into the logbook and assist with scheduling attendants.
- Conduct pre-meal meetings and participate in ongoing training of employees.
- Recognize outstanding performance and handle discipline as per standard operating procedures.
- Complete reports on production and control the distribution of necessary supplies.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years relevant food and beverage management experience in a high-quality, high-volume establishment.
- Two years supervisory experience preferred in a similar or equal setting.
- Working knowledge of Italian food and wines.
- Effective supervisory and communication skills.
- Well-organized and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Requires mobility, prolonged sitting, standing, and walking. Ability to push and/or pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Normal vision and hearing range.
