Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Utilization Management Nurse Specialist to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care while minimizing unnecessary costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical reviews to ensure that services rendered to members meet clinical criteria and are delivered in the appropriate setting.
• Utilize clinical skills to coordinate, document, and communicate all aspects of the utilization/benefit management program.
• Conduct prospective and retrospective reviews of medical claims to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, PHP medical directors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.

Requirements

• RN or LPN licensure in the state of New Mexico.
• Certification in utilization management or a related field is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in HMO/MCO, health plan insurance environment, with expertise in utilization management functions.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
