Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer to join our team at Kohler. This role involves providing legal support and guidance on corporate real estate transactions and commercial matters.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and drafting lease agreements, subleases, and purchase and sale agreements to support our company's production, supply chain, and sales real estate needs.

  • Negotiate construction-related agreements for facility buildout, expansion, or redesigns.
  • Conduct real estate due diligence in support of enterprise M&A activity.
Responsibilities

As a member of our corporate legal team, you will work closely with various business units and functions to provide expert advice on real estate and commercial matters.

  • Develop strategic plans and playbooks in support of enterprise real estate strategy.
  • Protect business interests and advise management with respect to risks associated with negotiated agreements.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • An undergraduate and law (L.L.B. or J.D.) degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin or licensed in another state bar with ability to obtain in-house counsel status in Wisconsin.
  • Prefer one to five years experience as a practicing lawyer working on real estate and commercial transactional matters either in private practice or with a corporate legal department.
