This position will provide consulting services for property loss control and natural hazards evaluation in the US.

The position requires a robust technical background and practical experience to identify and mitigate property Fire and Nat Cat risk exposures for a broad range of project types and customers.

Conduct onsite visits to assess property Fire and Nat Cat exposures and develop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.

Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations, and special hazards.

Work closely with our network of specialized engineers to serve clients and demonstrate the value of risk engineering services by building credibility and creating effective customer satisfaction.

This position will service the Western U.S. territory and support insured and non-insured clients.

Travel is anticipated to be 20-25%.

A robust working knowledge of NFPA Codes, FM Data Sheets, and local requirements is required.

A robust working knowledge of fire protection or willingness to learn is also required.

An engineering or science-based undergraduate degree is necessary.

The successful candidate will be able to apply industry experience to a broad range of customers and projects, consult effectively on a broad range of property risk controls, and identify exposures/assess controls on complex risks.

The candidate must be able to listen effectively and make sound assessments/conclusions based on review of written procedures, documents, discussions, and observations.

They must also be capable of managing their schedule and resources, continually assessing workload considering business priorities, and directing their own efforts accordingly while working in a remote work environment.

Collaboration as part of a team, proactive work across lines of business, and effective work with internal and external partners on special projects and furthering industry and business goals are also essential.
