We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at Volante of Hanover. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating resident care needs and communicating with physicians to ensure the highest level of care. Your expertise in medication management and monitoring will be invaluable in maintaining accurate records and ensuring the safe administration of medications. Additionally, you will be responsible for observing residents' health status, taking actions to address concerns within your scope of practice, and notifying the Executive Director, Director of Wellness, physician, family, and pharmacist of significant changes to residents' condition and reactions to medication, treatments, and significant incidents.   • Evaluate resident care needs and communicate with physicians
  • Update medical charts
  • Manage medication and monitor team members in administration of medication, including frequent audits of medication records
  • Order medications from pharmacy and maintain records
  • Assure that medications are properly stored and cared for
  • Observe residents' health status and take actions to address concerns within scope of practice
  • Observe, record, and notify Executive Director, Director of Wellness, physician, family, and pharmacist of significant changes to residents' condition and reactions to medication, treatments, and significant incidents
  • Maintain all health equipment for safe and proper function
  • Complete incident reports: evaluate for need of intervention to minimize risk of further occurrences
  • Read and decipher medications and charts
  • Supervise and evaluate abilities of personal care team members
Requirements:
  • RN with an unencumbered license to practice in the state of application
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Flexibility, Adaptability, and a great attitude
