About the Position

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team in the Venice, CA area.

Job Summary

We are looking for an individual with experience in ABA therapy to work with children and adults with special needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing behavior management techniques, providing crisis intervention, and reviewing behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities
  • Follow instructions from the BCBA, teacher, or program supervisor
  • Implement behavior management techniques, including prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies
  • Provide crisis intervention and support students in emergency situations
  • Review and implement behavior intervention plans to achieve learning and behavioral goals
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction and development of independent daily living skills
  • Document sessions and collect behavioral and academic data accurately and efficiently
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) savings plan and awards and recognition programs.
