Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team and drive sales efforts targeting custom home builders and framers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Generation: Identify and target potential customers, including custom home builders and framers, to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our truss products, manufacturing processes, and industry standards to effectively communicate benefits to customers.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to the specific needs of customers.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the production, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects are completed on time.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status. Provide regular reports on sales performance and market feedback.
  • Travel: Travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers, attend industry events, and represent the company.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the building materials industry. Experience with trusses or related products is highly desirable.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Deep understanding of the construction industry, particularly the needs and challenges of custom home builders and framers.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and blueprints is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
