The estimated annual salary for this position is $84,275 to $143,492 based on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionAs a Mental Health Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients experiencing psychiatric crises, ensuring their safety, and supporting their mental health treatment plans.
You will conduct thorough assessments, including mental health evaluations and crisis intervention, administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician, educate patients and families about mental health conditions and available resources, and maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
Requirements and Qualifications- A minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a psychiatric or emergency setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong assessment and communication skills, particularly in high-stress environments.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
