Job Description

As a Controls Lead Systems Specialist I at Johnson Controls, you will oversee on-site projects to plan and execute control systems initiatives while ensuring customer satisfaction and financial success. Your responsibilities include hardware design, programming, installation coordination, and maintaining compliance with safety and legal standards.

You will collaborate with subcontractors and clients to manage project budgets, provide technical support, and ensure successful project completion and proper training for end-users.

Responsibilities
  • Design and program control systems hardware.
  • Coordinate installation and commissioning of control systems.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and legal standards.
  • Evaluate contractual scope of work and impact of client issued bulletins and field directives.
  • Communicate technical and business-related issues with clients.
  • Manage selection, ordering, budget, and delivery schedule of materials.
  • Secure pricing and availability from vendors and suppliers.
  • Oversee subcontractor payment and billing processes.
  • Provide jobsite coordination for panel and field device physical locations.
  • Validate complete system functionality and resolve issues with subcontractors and others.
  • Manage costs, billings, and collections.
  • Complete project billings in a timely and accurate format.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a technical Associates Degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent related field experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Relevant technical hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
  • Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to perform work independently.
