Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic department, you will be responsible for performing EEGs and EMGs, as well as providing exceptional patient care to individuals of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality EEG recordings in accordance with department standards, including routine, ambulatory, and long-term monitoring for all age groups.
  • Recognize clinically significant events and critical findings, and follow department procedures to notify appropriate physicians.
  • Verify patient and physician orders, prepare patients for procedures, and conduct chart/clinical staff reviews.
  • Function as a resource person to patients, family members, physicians, and hospital staff, providing education and support as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment, and participate in establishing and maintaining department procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electro-neuro-diagnostic technology program within six months or one year.
  • Eligibility for credentialing in electro-encephalography (R.EEG T) within 24 months.
  • Two years of previous hospital experience in EEG or a healthcare field preferred.
