Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage various administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, preparing financial reports, and maintaining confidentiality. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Physician Assistant Department Chair, Director of Clinical Education, and faculty, including scheduling appointments, preparing meeting materials, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed financial records, reports, and spreadsheets, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Manage confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality, exercising discretion and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Develop and implement effective administrative processes, improving efficiency and productivity within the department.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and conferences, arranging logistics, catering, and other necessary arrangements.
  • Train, assign work, and review the work of student employees, providing guidance and feedback to ensure quality performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience in a higher education or related environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
