Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our Vent Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our residents. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, you will utilize your skills and knowledge to develop and implement individualized nursing care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

You will be responsible for attending to the daily operations of the unit, providing leadership and support to your colleagues as needed, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for residents
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing wound care
  • Assist with daily operations of the unit, including preparing patients for procedures and transporting them to and from appointments
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Maryland
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
