Enterprise Risk Actuarial Consultant Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant to join our ERM Actuarial Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) objectives. Your expertise in risk analysis, leadership, and collaboration will be essential in driving our ERM initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ERM Governance and Risk Reporting: Support Securian's ERM Governance and Risk Reporting functions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
  • Annual ORSA Process: Lead the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, collaborating with partners across the enterprise to develop a comprehensive and decision-useful report.
  • Risk Management Frameworks: Monitor ERM best practices, leveraging external sources to assess emerging trends, tools, and strategies, and recommend enhancements to our ERM framework.
  • Climate Risk Management: Support the development and execution of our climate risk management framework, ensuring alignment with external regulatory requirements and internal risk management needs.
  • Risk Reporting: Lead the development and execution of new or enhanced risk reporting to our Financial Risk Committee (FRC), Risk Council, and ERM Governance Groups.

Requirements:

  • ASA or near-FSA actuarial designation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of ERM concepts
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
