Orthopedic Surgeon Position

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in musculoskeletal care and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat common musculoskeletal conditions, including surgical and non-surgical management of diseases and injuries to the musculoskeletal system.
- Provide ongoing patient and family education throughout the course of treatment.
- Directly supervise staff, including mid-level providers, RNs, and LVNs, as required.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including performance measure meetings, staff meetings, Morbidity and Mortality conference, and peer review.
- Adhere to policies and procedures regarding medical documentation and performance measures.
- United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Fellowship Trained in joint replacement surgery, including shoulder, hip, and/or knee.
- Expertise in total joint procedures and revisions.
