Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant - BU
We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Oncology Unit. This role is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. You will be working with a team of professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position, requiring 72 hours per pay period. The shift is night time, and you will work with patients from various specialties, including Cardiology and Neurosurgery. Our state-of-the-art facility features 283 licensed beds, 25 ICU beds, and 12 intermediate care beds.
Your Responsibilities:
+ Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom
+ Take vital signs, record temperature, pulse, respiration rates, blood pressures, weights, heights, and intake-output measurements
+ Encourage patients to turn, cough, and take deep breaths, and to use incentive spirometry as specified by the Plan of Care
+ Ambulate patients, assist them in and out of bed, into wheelchairs, and transport when necessary
+ Provide nutritional support, which may include distributing meal trays, feeding, filling and passing out water pitchers
+ Maintain a safe environment by reporting equipment that is out of order, handling linen properly, and storing supplies
Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
+ Hospital experience beneficial, medical terminology a plus
+ Excellent interpersonal skills required, must be able to read with comprehension, write legibly, and perform basic arithmetic computation
+ Licensure Requirement: Nurse Assistant Non-Certified certification not required, but CPR certification is required, BLS also required if certified during the orientation period
Salary Range:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $30,000 and $40,000 annually, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
