Cardiovascular Technologist

The Norman Regional Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in the Cath Lab. This role plays a crucial part in the cardiovascular program, preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and providing care in a sterile environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess relevant certifications and complete essential training within a specified timeframe to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
The salary for this position ranges from $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.
