Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Worker's Compensation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that employees injured on the job receive timely and appropriate medical treatment, enabling them to return to work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reporting workers' compensation claims to our insurance provider;
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential claim files;
  • Recommending solutions for complex claims involving coverage and compensability disputes;
  • Managing investigations, settlements, and litigation related to workers' compensation claims;
  • Serving as the primary liaison for unemployment insurance carriers to manage unemployment claim costs;
  • Providing support to employees with workers' compensation claims, including assistance with claim submittal, case management, benefits, and medical treatment;
  • Obtaining authority for claim settlement or closure and communicating with legal representation and/or third-party claims administrators;
  • Developing and implementing strategies to reduce the cost of workers' compensation claims through programs such as return-to-work initiatives and preferred medical provider organizations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in workers' compensation law and/or management;
  • Some experience with managing unemployment claims;
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions with multiple high-priority tasks;
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations;
  • Experience with MS Office applications and Google tools.

Benefits

Sunrun offers a competitive salary range of $82,324.46 to $109,765.95, depending on location and experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage, a wellbeing program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). Additionally, eligible employees may participate in annual bonus programs and short- and long-term incentives.
