Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team in the Emergency Department at Duke Regional Hospital. As a Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with the Paramedic scope of practice, under the medical oversight of the Medical Director.
  • Assist clinical staff in the evaluation, treatment, and care of patients, including obtaining pertinent history and performing physical examinations.
  • Monitor patients and maintain accurate records using patient monitoring systems and electronic health records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Operate complex medical equipment and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
  • Current North Carolina Paramedic credential or ability to obtain certification.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required upon hire.
  • Preferred one-year experience as a Paramedic or other relevant clinical experience.
