Job Summary and QualificationsWe are looking for a qualified Radiologic Technologist registered in two or more modalities (CT, Ultra Sonography, Mammography, MR, or Nuclear Medicine) to perform duties as outlined by the Radiologist. Involves general guidance and direction by Supervisors and Department Manager. The employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and Radiologist protocols.
- Operates diagnostic equipment, processes images, and prepares room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure
- Responsible for assisting in the primary mission of the medical imaging department by ensuring proper diagnostic information is provided through high-quality scans, protocol adherence, critical thinking, excellent patient care, and obtaining clinically relevant history
- Other duties include but are not limited to clerical, scheduling, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team
Role requires a multi-modality clinical competency fulfilled by routine participation in the crossed-trained modality. Follows all regulatory compliance for DHEC, Joint Commission, ACR, and any regulatory agency governing radiation safety. May include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
- NMTCB Nuclear Cardio Technician, or Sonography, or RDMS OB/GYN Specialty, or Ultrasonographer, or Registered Computerized Tomography Technician, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
- 1+ year(s) of experience in Medical Imaging preferred
