Host/Hostess Opportunity at Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team at Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests and escort them to their assigned tables
  • Seat guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following check issue procedures
  • Assign opening and/or closing side duties and supervise side work
  • Assist with side work and/or assisting service staff with bussing tables, taking cocktail orders, etc.
  • Maintain reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, and note reservations and special requests by guests
  • Retain knowledge of all menu items, prices, and general service procedures
  • Responsible for standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas
  • Remain visible on dining room floor and be easily accessible to guests, staff, and management
  • Checks all tables before service to ensure proper settings
  • Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Performs other duties as required by supervisor

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job
  • Must complete Alcohol Awareness Training
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of point of sales (POS) system
