We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading our clinical services.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to lead our clinical services team and contribute to the development of our healthcare services. As a Clinical Staff Pharmacist, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring that they receive the highest quality care possible.

Responsibilities:
  • Medication Order Verification: Review and interpret medication orders from licensed prescribers, ensuring that they meet the requirements of a complete medication order.
  • Therapeutic Clinical Monitoring: Participate in ongoing monitoring of medication therapy, directing medication therapy within approved Collaborative Care Agreements and protocols.
  • Compounds and Dispenses Pharmaceuticals: Ensure timely dispensing of medications, supervising compounding according to USP standards and using barcode technology for accurate dispensing.
  • Supervises and Directs Interns and Technicians: Provide active direct supervision and mentoring of interns and technicians, redirecting staff to meet patient needs and modeling ICARE values and AIDET principles.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy college.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in Kentucky and Indiana (requires Indiana licensure after 90 days).
  • Experience: At least 6 months of pharmacist experience in a hospital setting or comparable practice setting.
